A Nightfury Family 12

Chapter 12
Gorothyst was moved to lay along the side of the cave.
Lance returned to the cave limping because he had sprained his paw during the fight.
But I didn’t care, I was so thrilled to see he was alive.
Same with Lukas. Apparently his energy had been spent during the fight to the point of exhaustion. From what Angela told me, it was going to take a week for Lukas to restore his energy and strength.
But she too was thankful her mate was alive.
A lot of dragons were injured during Gorothyst’s assault on the island but there were thankfully no deaths.
And with the help of a squad of Scauldrons, the fires on the island were quickly put out.
I was currently resting, curled up around my eggs and with Hiccup’s egg snuggled in my arms.
Lance was over by his long lost twin brother, watching over him as Amara helped outside.
“So…..this is my brother?” he asked as he just stared at Gorothyst.
I nodded as I looked over to my mate. “Yeah. That’s your twin.”
Lance was still for a moment before he lowered his head. “What did those monsters do to him?” He then whimpered.
I wanted to get up and comfort him, but I was currently around the eggs to warm them.
So sighing, I curled my tail around the clutch and looked at him. “Honestly. I don’t want to know. I don’t even want to peer into his mind and see what his life was like with his own father mutilating him into….that.”
Lance nodded to me. “I don’t think anyone wants to know. So I don’t blame you.”
“How is he?” Amara asked as she then came in.
“Still out cold.” Lance said as he looked at his mother. “But he is still breathing.”
Amara nodded. “That’s good.” She said as she came up beside him. “I think us telling him the truth of his origins overwhelmed him. That’s why he passed out like he did.”
“Is he gone to be okay though?” I asked as I sat up a bit.
The other female shrugged. “Hard to say Ame. I’ve heard of cases where either the subject just sits there in a confused state or runs off.” She then nudged Gorothyst softly. “I’m just praying that it’s the former and not the latter that happens.”
I nodded as I then saw her pull out Gorothyst’s wing from under him and tried to cover him with it.
Lance also saw this and cleared his throat a bit. “There’s uh…..there’s blankets in our room Ama……mom.”
“Thank you Lance.” Amara said as she then went into our cave.
I looked over at my mate “Still kinda awkward huh?”
My mate nodded. “Very.” He said as he then finally stepped away from his twin and came over to me. “To think that the reason mom left me was because of the Boneknappers raping her and giving birth to me and….my twin…..i can understand why.”
I licked him once he was near before he came over to the eggs. “Just take it one day at a time Lance.”
“I’m trying love.” He sighed as he craned his neck and nudged the eggs a bit.
I smiled at him as I then rested my head.
After hearing me sigh softly, Lance then came up and licked me. “Rest love. You’ve got to be still exhausted from using all your energy on…..on my twin.”
I purred at him lovingly. “I’m exhausted, Lance.”
“Then rest.” He said as he nuzzled me. “I’ll be fine. Ama….mom….plans to give Gorothyst the potion once he wakes up and comprehends what’s going on.”
I nodded and stretched out on the bed, my tail curling around the eggs.
Lance nuzzled me a bit longer before I finally drifted off to sleep.

I gasped as I immediately sensed something was wrong.
Nothing felt right. I was laying on something hard and cold and not the soft warmth of the fur bed.
And when I tried to move, I found my legs, tail and head were bound and heard the rattling of chains.
Opening my eyes, I gasped as I saw what was before me.
I was back in that hell of a military base! I was laying on my side with my legs bound together and pulled outward so that I couldn’t move. My muzzle was bound, my wings strapped down and my tail was anchored to the floor.
I whimpered and struggled against my bonds, confused and scared to what was happening. But the bonds held tighter then what I remembered five years ago.
“Ah. I see the female is awake.”
I froze as I heard a deep voice echo around me but send my heart racing.
From the shadows, stepped out a man in military uniform. But there was something off about him.
I then become tense as I saw his eyes were glowing bright red! And he was sneering so darkly that it sent shivers down my spine.
“I see my pet has finally delivered.” He said as he reached out and grasped the bars, looking away from my face and down by my hind legs.
I was terrified to look but I slowly lifted my head and looked to see what he was smiling at.
I then gasped as I saw my eggs, all thirteen of them, laying on the floor in a puddle of afterbirth and fluids.
I roared, sadly it was muffled because of the muzzle, as I thrashed to free myself of my bindings.
I couldn’t let him have my babies!
“Harvest time boys!”
A loud bang then sounded and made me look around until I saw a door being opened.
A very large door.
I then screamed as a Boneknapper walked into the cage.
And once one entered, so did another bone covered dragon.
I really fought against the restraints now. I recognized these two. They were Senaloruk and Filithius!
“I see the experiment was successful.” Filithius smirked as he reached a claw out to my eggs and poked them. “She had more than we thought.”
Senaloruk then chuckled darkly. “More for us to experiment with.”
I stared at them both in horror before the dragon that I knew to be Lance and Gorothyst’s father then reached out and grabbed an egg with his claw.
I whimpered as he then held the egg high above the ground, looking over what was practically a marble in his giant claws. “No. Don’t hurt my baby!”
Senaloruk chuckled as he sneered at me. “You mean this runt?”
My eyes widened in horror as he then turned it enough for me to see the scratched name on the shell that was Hiccup’s egg.
“NO!” I screamed as I then thrashed about. “NO NOT HIM! NOT MY HICCUP! LEAVE HIM ALONE!”
“Oh don’t worry.” Senaloruk purred darkly. “We won’t harm him.”
Filithius then snickered. “What use to us is a runt anyway?”
Senaloruk chuckled before I saw him get nudged by his brother, causing the egg to slip from his claws.
“Oops.” Both brothers then said before they laughed.
I held my breath as Hiccup’s egg fell in slow motion toward the hard concrete ground.
I screamed as the black colored container of my baby then soon met with the ground and shattered.
“HICCUP!” I screamed my lungs out as fluid and shell shattered.
The Boneknappers and the man then all laughed as I cried for my son.
And laying there under the shell pieces, was the unmoving, tiny body of my little boy.
“Oh look. A baby Nightfury.” Filithius then chuckled as he reached down and grasped Hiccup by the scruff.
“GET YOUR CLAWS OFF OF HIM!” I screamed as I fight against my bindings. “LEAVE HIM ALONE! PLEASE!”
Senaloruk then laughed. “He’s a runt you bitch. Runts are meant to die. That just how life is.”
“And that’s what we intended to do.” Filithius then said as he held up my baby in his paw. “Killing this runt will be a pleasure.”
I then shuddered as his claws then slowly enclosed my son’s body.
“NO!” I screamed as I closed my eyes. “NO DON”T PLEASE!”
“All runts must die.” Said the man then. “No runt is meant to live.”
“No Hiccup!” I cried as I kept fighting against the restraints. “Not my Hiccup.”
The Boneknappers then started laughing and I thought I heard a tiny squeak of pain.
I clawed at the ground under me and gritted my teeth.
“HICCUP!!!!!!”
“Lady Amethyst! Wake up!”

I yelped as I was suddenly slapped and jolted up.
I panted heavily as I took in my surroundings, nothing making sense at the moment.
Jumping up, I then felt myself all over to ensure it was all a dream.
The bindings were gone. The muzzle was gone. The Boneknappers, the red eyed man, the cage, everything.
It was all gone.
It was all just a dream.
Gasping in my panic, I then turned and looked at the eggs.
They were all there. All thirteen of them. All of them perfect, safe and nestled in a nest of warm furs.
“Oh my babies.” I said as I came up and nuzzled them all. “Oh my sweet safe babies. You’re all alive.”
I then quickly found Hiccup’s egg and plucked it from the nest, hugging it close to me.
“And you, my Hiccup. You I am thoroughly glad to see.” I mused as I cradled and kissed the shell.
“Um…..Lady Amethyst?”
Jumping at least three feet into the air, I turned and looked behind me.
There were two nightfuries and a hybrid behind me.
It took a moment but I soon registered them as my mate, my Mother-in-law, and my brother-in-law.
“Amara….Lance….Gorothyst?” I breathed as I looked at them, holding Hiccup’s egg close to me. “What’s….going on?”
“You were screaming and crying in your sleep love.” Lance said as he came up to me. “Something about Hiccup and for him to be left alone?”
I took a few breaths as I looked at them all.
I was surprised to see Gorothyst awake and actually looking concerned as he sat there by Amara.
After taking a moment and fidgeting with Hiccup’s egg, I then told them my horrific nightmare.
