In the dirt that surrounds the fire pit is a basic image of what I've been experiencing in my dreams.
There's the figure of a dragon with lines around it, bound to a long line that's supposed to be the floor.
It's the dragon me bound by the roots.
But above the dragon is what really scares me.
For Gothi had drawn the very same glaring eyes and jagged sharp teeth, the dancing fire light making the drawing look more menacing.
Seeing this shakes me a bit and makes me stay close to my dragon. "Yes. That's what I see in the nightmare. And those eyes are blazing red in the dark." I say as I look at Gothi. "

The dream came to me again.
I was flying high above the clouds with the sun setting in the distance.
I was a dragon again. Free and unbound from the world below.
This was right. It felt so right to be like this.
Why did it feel so right to be flying as a dragon instead of flying on the back of one?
Why wasn't Nightclaw here with me? Enjoying this freedom in the air together?
But alas, such joy is then cut short.
I'm hit in the back and plunged into that cold dark cave, crashing upon the floor hard enough to daze me.
The roots then come forth and bind me faster than last time.
"Nightfury!"

We had flown for hours, enjoying our time in the air and views down below.
The sun then started to set and Nightclaw flew up through the clouds,
Once it was dark, the northern lights appeared in the night skies, making me gasp in awe of the colors that danced across the vast darkness above.
"This is so wonderful." I breathe out as I take in everything before me. "Nothing could ruin this mo…." I then go silent for a moment.
Now the flight had been pretty silent with only the slight howling of the wind as it blew into my face and the occasional flapping of Nightclaw's wings.
But his wings were steady and still now as he coasted

It was a little while later and there was a knock at the door.
"I got it!" Nina yelled as she ran to the door. She then grabbed the handle and opened the door.
Once it was open enough, she greeted whoever was outside. "Oh hi Hiccup!"
I look up from scratching Nightclaw's ear and look over at the door. "Hiccup?"
Once my sister opens the door a little more, Hiccup came inside with something under his arm.
"Hey Carla. I finished Nightclaw's new saddle!" He said as he held up the new saddle to show it off.
Nightclaw tilted his head in surprise and in a little shock as he stared at the new saddle.

As I expected, Nina squealed her little head off at the sight of Nightclaw.
At my cue, my dragon stepped out from behind me and sat at the door entrance in a polite sitting posture. He then looked down at his family awaiting him.
Nina then came running up and latched herself onto Nightclaw's front leg, hugging it. "YOU GOT A TOOTHLESS?!"
I can help but snort and giggle at my sister. "Nightfury sis. Not Toothless. And his name is Nightclaw."
