Fantasy Made Reality 55

So Angela was heartbroken to hear what happened to Anna’s wing. And like her daughter, she feared for her future and if she could ever fly within her life time.
I really hope that a dragon with knowledge in prosthetics would come around and hopefully get the little one into the skies. It was every dragon’s birth right to fly after all.
And after such a taxing trip, Lance and I had just enough energy left to have dinner before falling asleep in our cave.
By next morning, I was outside and relaxing.
It felt good being back on Dragon Island.
I forgot how peaceful things were around here. My eggs were indeed going to be safe once they were born here.
Thinking of my eggs, I looked down at my belly and smiled.
I was still worried about what was happening to me that was causing this accelerated growth. But as I rubbed my belly, everything felt like it was fine.
Even last night after Angela calmed down and rubbed it, she said that my belly felt like hers at six months.
But she was also worried about my fast growth.
So I decided to have Hereleod check me once breakfast settled to see if things were okay with my pregnancy. For now, Lance was off to get the Typhoomerang
But just as I was about to get up, I saw something moving out of the corner of my eye.
Turning toward the ocean, I smiled when I saw a familiar group of dragons approaching the island.
Some of them flew off in other directions but one landed in the cove on the other side.
And I was glad to see that it was none other than Lukas that was now standing on the beach of the cove.
“Lukas!” I called as I went over to where he was. “Lukas!”
Lukas then turned and smiled when he saw me coming up him. “Hi Ame!”
As he turned, I then saw that he was holding something in his arms.
That something was a little black cub with orange markings mimicking that of Lukas’ markings.
The more I stared at the cub, the more I began to realize who it was.
“Is….is that?” I asked as I looked up at him, pointing at the cub.
Lukas smiled brightly. “Yes Ame. This in my son, Jonathan.”
I beamed and was overjoyed to see that his son was found and back where he belonged.
Jonathan then opened his bright green eyes and looked up at me.
At which, I awed and smiled happily at the little cub, glad that he didn’t look at all harmed.
“I hope you and Lance returned the girls here safe and sound?”
I snapped out of my daze and looked up at him. “Oh…yeah. Me and Lance returned here with them yesterday. And honestly, it feels good to be back.”
Lukas smiled. “I bet it does.” He chuckled a bit.
He then frowned as he then noticed my appearance.
I must have really grown over the last week because his eyes went wide at the sight of my belly.
I then smiled as I pawed at my belly. “Oh yeah. My belly just grew a lot in the past week. And it was a good thing we arrived earlier than now, because I can barely get a foot off the ground with how heavy I now am.” I sighed as I then rubbed at my belly. “I’m just happy that we’re having cubs. I decided that it doesn’t matter how much these eggs inside of me grow. I just care that they are there.”
I then watched as Jonathan squirmed out of Lukas’ arms and landed on the soft sand.
After shaking himself off, he then came up to me until he was standing before me.
“Well hello there cutie.” I said as I smiled at him.
I then watched as he blinked up at me for a moment before looking at me belly.
Jonathan then reached out and started feeling my egg laden stomach.
Both his father and myself as the cub did so, finding his fascination with my belly amusing.
“Yeah. My belly is big, isn’t it?” I said as I snickered at how cute he was.
Lukas chuckled again before it looked like he remembered something. “Hey Ame?”
“Yeah Lukas?” I replied as I looked at him.
“I kinda want to find my mate now.” He admitted with a look that clearly said that he deeply missing Angela.
I smiled and nodded. “Oh of course!”
“Sure!” I nodded, wondering what this news might be.
Lukas then reached out and took his son’s paw carefully. “Hey Jonathan? Let’s go find momma okay?”
I thought for sure that the cubs’ eyes were going to pop out of his little head when he heard that and then started bouncing excitedly.
Both of us chuckled at Jonathan’s excitement.
“That’s adorable.” I said happily as I held my belly.
Lukas chuckled and nodded. “I know right? Anyway, catch ya later, okay?”
I nodded and stood. “Okay. Glad to have you back Lukas!” I said as I then heading back to my cave.
Once I was back inside and resting, I waiting for Lance to return with the dragon medic.
Hereleod came and went and I was still worried.

The doctor said I was oddly fine, right around where a normal pregnant female dragon would be at at six months. But he confirmed that I was indeed healthy and that the eggs were fine.
And that I had more than just the several he predicted a few weeks ago.
Lance and I were now just hoping that someone out there would know what’s happening with me.
It was later that day when Lukas asked for all the dragons to meet in the cove to reveal what his surprise was that he had to tell us all.
Everyone was there and gather in the cove or along the cliff side above it.
Lukas looked better now that he was back with his whole family. There was a clear difference from how I saw him a week ago to how he stood now.
As I looked around, I saw everyone that aided him on the mission was there. Even Feng! Who I didn’t see was here on the island until now.
Erich was there as well ad there was something different about him.
And the more I looked, the sooner I noticed he had a belly as big as my own.
Was he gaining weight or something?
Shrugging it off, I then turned my attention toward the conqueror.
Once everyone was gathered in or around the cove, Lukas then stepped forward to speak.
“Everyone! I have great news!” he said happily as he smiled.
“What is it?” I asked as I rubbed my belly. “You said you had more good news?”
“More good news?” Angela then asked as she looked at her mate happily. “What is it love?”
“Yes, we must know!” Cereleok said as he fluttered his wings. “We must!”
Chuckling a bit at seeing how excited we were, Lukas then took a deep breath and smiled greatly.
“Everyone…..Senaloruk…..IS DEAD!”
The whole cove erupted in cheers at hearing this news.
The was one less Boneknapper out in the world that posed a threat to my eggs.
I wondered about Senaloruk’s brother, Firithius, but I did recall that Lukas injured him badly back in the lair in California.
I then prayed that his injuries were so great that it eventually claimed his life.
That was the most I could hope for with my coming brood.
Lance then held me close and nuzzled me.
It didn’t take a genius to know that my mate was also thrilled to hear one threat was off the list of things that could harm our cubs.
“Finally.” My mate purred as he nuzzled my cheek. “Now we can raise our cubs in a world without Boneknappers.”
“At least the two dangerous ones anyway.” I said as I held my belly, rubbing it gently. “And that’s just fine with me.”
Lance nodded and continued to hold and nuzzle me, purring in his own joy that one threat was gone.

Several hours later, it was close to nightfall and those of us that lived in the cove were gathered by a fire and enjoying ourselves.
But then the peace was shattered when a loud roar echoed over the island.
One that sent my new motherly protective nature into overdrive.
We all then looked to see a dragon land on the shore so heavily, that the ground under us shook.
Standing there before was one of the very Boneknappers that had taken the cubs of the conqueror.
And with knowing the Senaloruk was eaten alive by Whispering Deaths, I fearfully knew that this boney monstrousity was his brother, Firithius.
Not even wasting a second, I darted for my cave.
Thankfully Firithius didn’t bother with noticing me or Lance when he followed after me.
I stayed behind the wall of the entrance, peeking out to see what was going on.
Angela had quickly gathered the cubs and held then tightly in her arms as she stayed behind Lukas.
Lukas was in a defensive position as he glared back up at the Boneknapper with a hint of confusion.
“Did you forget about me?” the clearly angry dragon growled as he glared his yellow eyes at Lukas.
But I think Firithius also soon noticed the hint of confused and snarled. “Don’t be stupid! I’m Firithius!”
“Firithius?” Lukas said in shock. “I thought I injured you and left you to die in the lair in the Rockys?!”
The Boneknapper smirked. “I wanted to surprise you with my healing powers.” The smirk then vanished as he went back to snarling. “And don’t keep playing stupid. I know you killed my brother you son of a bitch!”
“He deserved it very well!” Lukas yelled back. “And you do too!”
Firithius then snarled. “You know what. Now that you ruined our previously good plan, and now that you have destroyed my brother…..”
“I DIDN”T! Lukas interrupted. “He destroyed himself! And you will too! Don’t you realize you’re the death of yourselves by now? Think about it!”
I was starting to get a little concerned as to why Lukas was trying to make the Boneknapper see reason.
But I could that nothing Lukas was trying to do was getting through to Firithius. “I said don’t play dumb with me! This is the last straw! No more careful planning now, you pissed me off. And now….I’LL KILL YOU!”
I then jumped as I heard hundreds of dragons then roared in anger against the monster before the conqueror.
Looking up, I gasped as I saw that the island’s dragons had gathered to see what was happening. I also saw that all the dragons were glaring at the one dragon that had half caused Anna to lose a wing.
Lukas saw them too and made a signal for them all to stand down. “This is between me and him now!” he roared as he then glared back at Firithius.
Even from where I was, I could feel his rage and anger toward the one that caused his family so much pain coming off him in waves.
He didn’t waste a minute longer and soon took flight, the Boneknapper following after him.
As they flew into the dying light, I looked back down to see Angela making a mad dash back to her own cave with the cubs.
I couldn’t blame her. I was scared too for the fight that was now happening above what was once a safe haven for dragons.
